Food for Pablo and the Gang

Hi everyone - it's Ben (from Dangerbird) posting under Jeff and Jo Ann's account. Since there have been so many friends offering to make / have food delivered for Pablo and co., Helen McCusker and Dorrie Lamarr have offered to help coordinate meals. Helen and Dorrie will help keep track of who's bringing what meals, and how many people need to be fed, etc. So, please email Helen at hmmccusker@mindspring.com if you would like to help out.

And thank you all so much for your continued support; I know it means an awful lot to Jeff, Jo Ann, Grady and Pablo, as well as everyone here in the Dangerbird family...

Pablo,

This makes me think of surgery I had when I was 4 years old (about 200 years ago).
I wasn't scared but it was very different than today.
First they put me on a gurney and then strapped me in arms and all. A honey comb looking thing came down from the ceiling on a long string. They put this over my mouth and nose and poured a liquid on top of it and told me to count backwards from 100. I wanted to tell them I was only 4 years old and not only couldn't I count backwards from 100, I couldn't even do it going forward. I remember thinking I was going to have to be awake for the entire operation because of this. So I tried my best. 100....thirteen...twelveteen....elleventeen................and that's the last thing I remember until I woke up.
When I woke up I remember looking down and I began to cry. Not because it hurt but because I was embarrassed that they put me in a diaper. I was way too old for that......By the way it was all in black and white; they didn't have color in those days. At least that’s the way I remember it. I hope your experience was in color!!!!

Get Well Soon,

Tom

Pablo,

We are so pleased the surgery went well, we knew it would. You are in great hands over there, Lily had her surgery there too!

Harry has 1 thing to say to you "Chihuahua!"

We are also REALLY happy that you get to come home in the morning. Can't wait to see you.

Love,
Don, Kristal, Lily & Harry

Jeff and family, What truly amazing friends you have. I've never opened or read a "blog" before this morning.
Now I know what I've been missing. Seriously though, the energy that I feel through reading all of the entries is coming through loud and clear. I'm so glad that things went well and am looking forward to all future updates. I know it's going to be rough, but please don't let that inner spirit fade. If you need anything at all, please ask. That includes screaming obsenities into the phone if necessary. Give Pablo a high five from me, and Jo Ann a big hug.

Love and light from Portland,

Katy
